Eggs
The Average Award:
Recognizing spectacularly average things since the date that this article was written.
This week, we would like to give the average award to eggs.
Eggs are spectacularly average. I will list some average things about them.
- They are an ingredient in lots of average baked goods.
- They are a staple food for many different cultures, both eastern and western.
- They come from chickens, which are perhaps the average-est of all farm animals
- Their shell is kind of strong, but not too strong. Eggs’ shell strength is average.
- They are white. White is a pretty average color.
- They aren’t even unique to chickens. Lots of animals lay eggs, although those eggs aren’t quite as average.
- They were the average word of the day for like 14 days in a row. If that doesn’t make them average, I don’t know what average is.
So, now eggs finally get the recognition they deserve. Congratulations, eggs! … I guess.
Now, enjoy the following MLIA and have a great weekend! Or week! Or whatever!
Today, I asked my mom why we get eggs from the Easter Bunny and not the Easter Chicken. She didn’t know either. MLIA.
Hah! I remember when Egg was the average word of the day for like 2 weeks. Good times.
Now, where the heck is the “Extraordinary Average” section!?!? Hmm?

I agree. We were promised an Extraordinarily Average Section! Harumph!

We found some bugs with the “Extraordinarily Average” section at the last minute and we need to fix them before releasing it. Being full time students, it takes us a little longer to get things done, so it might be a while.
We’ll get it up as soon as we can though.

Meh. Its cool. Its not like I’ve been staring at the computer for the past 2 straight weeks just waiting, waiting for this wondrous section to appear or anything..heh….

I disagree about chickens being the most average of farm animals. The fly is probably the most average. Chickens have a close second. But, second is average.

Indeed, first is entirely too high ranking. Completely unaverage.

I’m eating eggs while reading this… It kind of weird-ed me out. Not all eggs have average shells though. I couldn’t crack this one and it ended up expolding all over my brother’s honor roll award.

I, as an MLIA commenter, approve of this blog.
Eggs are egg-ceptionally average.
So are food puns, sometimes.

Food puns are always excepted on MLIA, always. Any who contradict shall be faced with an ass kicking made up of 13 round-about kicks and an ass load of asparagus.
I’m Chuck Norris and I approve this message.

Wasn’t the average word a dozen and then egg was the average word for 12 days after the word dozen. So it was like a dozen eggs! XD

but wouldnt giving eggs such high praise make it special, therefor making it less average?

Yeah, you’re reading way too far into it.

Yes well average things get praised sometimes. Have you, an average person, ever been praised? I do not know you, fellow commenter, but I’m pretty sure you have.

The very first thing that popped into my head after reading this blog was that a picture of an egg was the first group picture we ever had.
Eggs are egg-stremely average. Nice work.
