  3. That was pretty good, but overly-cheesy.
ex.: the overdone ‘British guy’ thing, the ‘yarrr, I’m McGuru McAwesome McCliche’ thing…

PS. Mek, you know you want this. *sensual body rub*

    • Less cheese… noted. I’m glad you thought it was pretty good. Hopefully the next one is pretty, pretty, pretty good. (Curb your Enthusiasm reference)

  4. Good job. I somewhat enjoyed most of it. I thought the interview with Guru was a very good idea. He’s a pretty funny guy, almost exactly who’d I imagined he’d be.

Quick question: is the ‘Mek’ guy, here on the blog, the same guy in the podcast, or is it Guru? Or is it someone else completely? Just wonderin’. Thanks.

    • I’m Guru Khalsa– I write posts here on the blog occasionally. I’ll let Mek answer for himself.

      Cheers, GK

      PS- I’m glad you think I’m funny. <3 <3

    • I’m Mek —>
      obviously

I am not the host. I produce the podcast and also occasionally write posts on the blog. Although, my posts are significantly less funny than Guru’s.

      • Lol, Mek, don’t feel bad. You’ve got yourself an admirer. You’re both cool.

    • I’m Gian – I host the podcast.

I’m more of a talker than a typist… So I don’t post very often. But, I do read all the comments, and really appreciate the feedback!

  5. This podcast would be more average, and therefor more interesting if Mek talked normally. He seems too bad dj-ish to me, no offense.
You have to be boring in order to be interesting.

    • Thanks for the feedback.

The podcast is still a work in progress, so any and all feedback is really valuable to us.

We are sorry you felt it was “bad dj-ish”, we are still getting the hang of it; As we get more comfortable, things should get more casual. ;)

      Thanks for listening.

  6. I also think it was overdone. Need I remind you that we (and I speak for a large group of people) do not appreciate cliches. AKA, ninjas and pirates. However, I did appreciate your explanation of the Dr. Doctor, although the story sounds fake. As for who tests out the new and improved dog food- I would imagine that somewhere along the line, there is a human/dog hybrid that taste tests the food and then barks out whether it likes the food or not. Just kidding, I actually think that the dog food creators alter the recipe, and then say it has a new-and-improved flavor. No human is going to try it to test them, so they don’t need to worry about getting sued anyway.

    • Most of the messages we received on the hotline this past couple weeks were not questions for Guru and of the questions we did receive, a few weren’t clear enough to use in the podcast. We appreciate the feedback though and maybe next time we will skip the cliches. :)

The average thought got me thinking too, so I started googling…

      • That guy is a wacko, but hey- if eating pet food floats his boat, hoo-rah for him. The guy in the article looks like a cross between Spock and Skylar from Heroes. I must say, though, his job is definitely not average. Another thing- if the messages on the hotline aren’t publishable, you can always resort to the comments for news. There is always some sort of (not always perverted) drama going on, and I’m sure the listeners would love to hear about it. Especially CircaFan. She (Err, it) has taken quite a shine to you.

  7. Im going to say a few things now.
    1. I plan on marrying Guru Khalsa.
    2. Yes, I am the girl who leaves all of the messages, hoping one day she will appear on the podcast….
    3. I think you should interview an average person one day, asking them average questions.
    4. Wow, number three is an awesome suggestion.
    5. By the way, I am an average person.
    6. The podcast was hilarious, and quite average, keep it up!
    7. Alright, I already typed the number 7, but I have nothing to write.

    Thanks for reading…

    • Hi Sydney

      1. Does Guru know? If not, should I tell him or will you?
      2. Leave us a message with a story about something amusing that happened at school and we will try to use it in the next podcast.
      3. That is a great suggestion
      4. Can you think of an average person we could interview?
      5. Oh, I see where this is going.
      6. Thank you
      7. You could have left it blank

      Thanks for writing,

  10. If my name was Doctor I wouldn’t go into medicine – I buy a 60′s police box and travel through time and space, kidnapping people to come on adventures with me.

  12. why do you post on mondays?
    mondays are eww.
    ask hoops&yoyo.
    they’re like
    post on fridays!
but that might mess up your schedule
    so maybe not.

“schedule” in canadianese is pronounced “shedule”
    like shed
    and jull.

    i think.
this is what i learned in foods class the other day.
